How to Install pidentd software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

pidentd software package provides TCP/IP IDENT protocol server with DES support, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install pidentd

pidentd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the pidentd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pidentd *

You will get with pidentd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
